Biography

Isabelle Aubin is a forest vegetation ecologist at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre, which is part of Natural Resources Canada’s Canadian Forest Service. Aubin conducts research on how forest ecosystems respond to human-induced changes, with a focus on understanding the response of understory vegetation to disturbances. Her research interests include forest ecology, plant community responses to disturbance, and the impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems. She collaborates with other researchers at the centre, including on projects related to invasive species threats to Canadian forests. Aubin has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as plant community dynamics, forest management, and ecosystem responses to environmental change.
