A term encompassing all of the ways that humans have affected the earth since the industrial revolution, and more particularly since the 20th century. Climate change is part of them, but there are many others : the extinction of many species throughout the world and the collapse of many wild animal and plants populations, the enormous expansion of agricultural land, the expansion of the world’s road networks, and so on.
