Biography

Morgane trained as a forestry engineer, specializing in forest ecology and functional ecology. Her thesis focused on the dynamics and functional diversity of West African savannas and dry forests. After a first post-doc in Senegal following on from her PhD, she moved on to temperate and boreal forests.

What she likes about DIVERSE is first and foremost the holistic approach adopted by the project and the recognition of the importance of interdisciplinarity in forest management. It’s also the collaborative approach adopted in our field campaigns: pooling our resources to do more, do it better and do it a lot more fun!
