Zijing is interested in community ecology and macroecology and has expertise in R programming and ecological network analysis. Her research will focus on biodiversity and silviculture, specifically conduct simulation test for forest management approaches to promote forest functioning and resilience to global change.

Zijing began her ecological research career at East China Normal University in Shanghai, where she obtained her BSc. She then obtained her MSc from Sun Yat-sen University and is currently a PhD student at University of Alberta supervised by Prof. Fangliang He. She is excited to join DIVERSE!
