Biography

Andreas Hamann’s primary research fields are global change biology, genetics, and climate change adaptation with applications in forest ecology and management. Joined the University of Alberta in 2005, where he currently is Professor and Director, Academics and Communications. He manages international graduate student exchange and dual degree programs for the department and received an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and an August-Wilhelm Scheer Professorship for collaborative research with Germany, a Fulbright Fellowship for research at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Sir Frederick McMasters Fellowship for collaborative research with CSIRO, Canberra.
