Loïc is an associate professor in the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics at Université Laval (Quebec, Canada). He draws on applied forest ecology research to help our forests adapt to global change: assisted migration trials (the TransX project), drought experiments (the ThiRST project), high-precision monitoring of how trees respond to the climate, and large-scale analyses of tree growth data. These methods are used to assess the climate tolerance thresholds of our forests and the influence of forest management.
