Tali has always had a fascination in how humans interact with the environment. To Tali, environmental problems are inextricably linked to people, how we make decisions, and what we value.
Tali pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Economics at McGill University, where she completed an honours thesis studying Tree Planters’ connectedness to nature and perceptions of wildness across Canada. After undergrad, Tali moved to Whitehorse, Yukon, where she worked as an Assessment Officer for environmental impact assessment, (and spent many hours canoeing along various rivers in the North). Now, Tali is doing her Masters’ of Science in Forestry at UBC under the supervision of Dr. Harry Nelson. Tali will be researching the feasibility of implementing changes in forest practice across Canada by diving deeper into forest policy and regulation across the country.
