Shanti was born and grew up in Nepal, a country known for its diverse landscape, forests, and home to Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak. She completed her Bachelor in Forestry from Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal. Similarly, she did her internship in Forest Research and Training Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal. She is interested in forest management, climate change, forest policies, forest ecology, and environmental studies. Currently, she is enrolled in a Master of Environment in Environmental and Social Change program at the University of Winnipeg under the supervision of Dr. Ryan Bullock. She is really happy to be part of a diverse project and to contribute to forest management and conservation in Canada.
