Biography

Martina is a forest researcher with a multidisciplinary background in forestry, forest ecology, natural disturbances, and quantitative ecology. Her research is devoted to, first, developing new tools to assess forest resilience to disturbances, and second, providing empirical evidence of the most vulnerable communities that must be prioritized in conservation or restoration plans.

After a prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship, Martina joined the DIVERSE project team, in which she will evaluate the resilience of Canadian forests to biotic and abiotic disturbances.
