The redundancy of functional trait values in a ecosystem. For example, does a forest have many trees that are tall in height ? Or that have seeds adapted to re sprout after a fire ? If so, then the redundancy of these particular traits is high. Functional redundancy can be negatively correlated to functional diversity in certain cases.
